Harrison Spinks is a fifth-generation family business which began in 1840 and continues to be one of the best British Bed Manufacturers. Their factory is based in Leeds, and they predominantly use wool and other natural materials, from their own farms across North Yorkshire, reflecting their commitment for sourcing local natural materials, to produce their renowned, handcrafted, high-quality beds.

At their farm they produce luxury, lustrous fibres which are thermo-regulating, moisture wicking, chemical free and hypo allergenic, including Hemp, Flax, and Herdwick Wool, which is ethically sourced, 100% traceable and naturally fire retardant.
It can take up to eight hours for one luxury mattress to be hand stitched, demonstrating their attention to detail and use of traditional bed making techniques. Their expertise was showcased on BBC 2’s ‘Inside the Factory’ in 2019, providing viewers with an in-depth overview of their bespoke bed making process.
Their groundbreaking innovation in spring technology sets them apart from other bed manufacturers, their design guarantees support, luxurious comfort and ensures that all springs are fully recyclable.

In 2023, Harrison Spinks were awarded two Kings Awards for Enterprise for their commitment to Innovation and International Trade. In 2024, they were awarded a further Kings Award, for their commitment to Sustainable Development. The awards reflect their pledge to make high quality beds in the most sustainable way, using their own natural fillings and priding themselves in having an in-house sustainability team. Their Impact Report (2024) sets out their future intentions, which includes to gain fully organic status by 2025 and to invest in Solar Photovoltaic Technology.
